I set up my Ellensdays blog five years ago because I felt that I had a story to tell about autism and how it affected my and my family’s everyday lives.  Everyone with autism is different and so everyone’s experiences are different too and all equally interesting and valid.

I also had just learned about Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) a technique that involves lots of guiding and re-thinking about how I overcompensate for my daughter and the blog helps to motivate me in my tasks.

This website is to further explore the autism world as I understand it, not only through my blog but through the places we visit and our experiences as people who ‘stand out’ wherever we go.

Writing is a form of enjoyment and relaxation for me.  I have a novel in the pipeline and two further novels at the planning stage.  I continue to write short stories, some of which I plan to feature on my ‘writing page’.

Thanks for reading.
